Join a trusted, full-service estate planning firm built for attorneys who want to plant roots and build something lasting. MWC Legal Group is a well-established Milwaukee firm serving clients across estate planning, probate and trust administration, elder law, special needs planning, tax preparation, business transactional work, and fiduciary litigation. We have built a strong reputation in the Southeast Wisconsin market by delivering skilled, prompt, and personal legal services and we are ready to add an experienced associate attorney who is prepared to carry a case load from day one. This is not a rotational role or a stepping stone. We are looking for an attorney who wants to set down roots here, contribute immediately, and build a lasting practice within our platform. In return, we offer a collaborative environment, a competitive compensation package, and a firm genuinely invested in your long-term success.About The RoleThe successful candidate will independently handle a case load across one or more of our core practice areas from the first day. We are a busy firm and the volume of work available is real. We need an attorney who can step in and produce without a lengthy ramp‑up period. We also expect our attorneys to invest in business development. If you have already started building your own client base, this is the right platform to accelerate that. If you are newer to that side of the practice, we will support your growth in it.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage a case load in estate planning, probate, trust administration, and related practice areasDraft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documentsHandle probate and trust administration matters including filings, accountings, and client communicationsAdvise clients on elder law, Medicaid planning, guardianships, and special needs planningAssist with individual, fiduciary, estate, and gift tax preparation as applicableSupport transactional work including entity formation and real estate closings for family and closely held businessesRepresent clients in fiduciary litigation and contested probate or guardianship proceedings as neededCultivate and develop a client base and professional referral network in the Milwaukee marketWhy This Role Stands OutImmediate case load – meaningful work from day one, not a training programCollaborative firm culture where attorneys support and invest in each other's successDiverse, full-service practice that keeps your work varied and your skills sharpEstablished Milwaukee firm with a strong community reputation and professional networkClear path to build a lasting trusts and estates practice in a supportive environmentRequirementsExperience and background5 to 10 years of experience practicing in trusts and estates, estate planning, probate, or a closely related areaDemonstrated ability to independently manage a client‑facing case loadExperience in two or more of the firm's service areas is strongly preferredMust‑havesActive Wisconsin bar license (or eligibility for admission)Entrepreneurial mindset – you have started building a book of business or have the drive to do soCommitment to long‑term tenure – we are investing in someone who wants to grow with usStrong client communication skills and a genuine service orientationHigh attention to detail and professional standards consistent with a client‑facing practiceBenefitsSalary: $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experiencePerformance bonus potentialHealth and dental insurance with firm paying 80% of premiums; FSA available for enrolled employees401(k) plan with firm contributing 3% of compensation monthly regardless of employee contribution; eligible after 6 monthsGroup life insurance and long‑term disability insurance at no cost to employeeParking paid by firmPTO: 2 weeks to start, increasing to 3 weeks at year 3 and 4 weeks at year 5; plus 2 paid personal days annuallyEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are an equal opportunity employer committed to a workplace free of discrimination.
