Location: Naples, FL. This is an on-site opportunity based in our Naples office.

Note: Candidates should have 3+ years of estate planning experience and an active Florida law license. Strong interest in complex tax and estate planning concepts is essential, particularly irrevocable trusts, SLAT trusts, asset protection, business succession, and gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax. Experience with Florida estate administration is strongly preferred.

Job Description

  • Advise clients on estate planning, estate and trust administration, business succession planning, charitable planning, and related matters.
  • Assist with sophisticated estate planning involving irrevocable trusts, SLAT trusts, asset protection, and business succession strategies.
  • Research and analyze complex gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax rules.
  • Prepare and review detailed estate planning documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist with trust and estate litigation matters as needed.
  • Work with clients and attorneys on business planning through gifting and sales to trusts.
  • Gain exposure to family office structures and advanced wealth transfer strategies.
  • Assist with matters involving Florida estate administration.
  • Research tax issues and work with IRS-related matters when appropriate.
  • Support planning involving inbound foreign investment by non-resident aliens and outbound planning for U.S. citizens as opportunities arise.
  • Take on increasing responsibility while collaborating with attorneys across practice groups and offices.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • 3+ years of estate planning experience.
  • Active Florida law license.
  • Strong interest in or familiarity with advanced estate and tax planning.
  • Familiarity with irrevocable trusts, SLAT trusts, asset protection, business succession, or gifting strategies preferred.
  • Florida estate administration experience preferred.
  • Some tax experience or experience dealing with the IRS preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in complex document preparation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and sound judgment.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the United States.
