From managing the rhythm of the dining room to ensuring seamless coordination through Resy, the Host orchestrates the flow of hospitality so that every guest feels both cared for and celebrated.
Compensation: $15-20/Hr
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and seat guests with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail — setting the tone for a refined dining experience.
- Answer all phone calls in a timely manner and manage Resy, our reservation and waitlist platform, ensuring smooth check-ins, accurate pacing, and clear communication with the service team.
- Oversee the flow of the dining room to balance guest experience, service timing, and table turns.
- Maintain accurate guest notes, preferences, and VIP recognition to support Tallow’s personalized hospitality.
- Communicate clearly with servers, managers, and the kitchen to ensure seamless service transitions.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and energy of the host stand and entryway, keeping the first impression of Our House impeccable.
- Support management with special events, private dining coordination, and guest recovery when needed.
- Embody Tallow’s timeless standard of hospitality — approachable, genuine, and always composed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous host/hostess or other relevant customer service experience preferred
- Familiarity with Resy or similar reservation management platforms is a plus
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
