NSQs: A valid motor vehicle operator's license may be required for employment in some positions.

Overview

This position is responsible for maintenance work of moderate difficulty on facilities, buildings, structures, and grounds. The ideal candidate should demonstrate experience in progressively responsible skilled labor or trades work, a background in building and grounds maintenance, and proficiency in the safe operation and maintenance of landscaping and maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of tools and equipment while working in primarily outdoor conditions.
  • Operate various maintenance equipment, including commercial mowers, string trimmers, chainsaws, leaf blowers, and a variety of other building maintenance power and hand tools.
  • Conduct basic electrical, plumbing, masonry, mechanical repair, and painting duties.
  • Perform routine janitorial duties to maintain clean and safe facilities. Collect and remove trash from facility grounds and surrounding areas to maintain cleanliness and appearance.
  • Communicate with the public to provide basic customer service and direct persons to appropriate solutions or answers.
  • Collaborate with team members by sharing technical knowledge and supporting group project completion.
