SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER

Applications are being sought for a School Social Worker.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

1. Minimum of a Master's Degree with School Social Worker Certification required
2. Experience with Child Study Team case management, writing evaluations, and Individual Education Plans for students referred to Child Study Teams
3. Criminal history background check or legal resident alien statue
4. Strong working knowledge of the New Jersey Administrative Code NJ6A:14

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Review of Records, write social history evaluations, develop and oversee implementation for Individual Education Plans for students referred to CST
2. Act as a consultant in cases of suspected child abuse, neglect and/or sexual abuse. Consult with outside agencies that provide support for parents and children
3. Provide direct and indirect counseling to students and serve as a member of the CST
4. Provide Social Skills Training on an as needed basis to student groups
5. Excellent written and verbal skills
6. Ability to act as a liaison with students, their families, teachers, and the administration
