As a Benefits and Eligibility Specialist, you will play a crucial role in determining eligibility for various public assistance programs. Your responsibilities include:

• Reviewing applications and conducting interactive interviews to gather facts.
• Ensuring application forms are completed accurately and verifying information.
• Communicating effectively with applicants and recipients to address concerns and provide resolutions.
• Advising applicants on suitable assistance programs and helping them access these benefits.
• Explaining rules and policies to various stakeholders and soliciting information for qualification determinations.

Training will be conducted in person over approximately seven weeks, with potential for transition to a full-time employee upon completion.

Requirements

• 2 years of customer service experience.
• Ability to work onsite with reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High School Diploma.
• Security clearance required.

Preferences

• Experience performing eligibility reviews.
• Previous insurance adjudicator experience.
