Summary
Routinely collect re-grind and deliver raw material to production cells while ensuring a timely and predictable flow of materials throughout the plant.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Begin material routes every hour.
- Follow scheduled break and lunch times.
- Lift 30–50 lbs. frequently throughout the shift.
- Pick up empty clear totes and exchange them for full totes of material.
- Lift and dump full totes of material into designated bins.
- Collect re-grind material from the four main central re-grind stations.
- Deliver re-grind material to the central area.
- Submit updated batch sheets to the Leads of affected production areas.
- Turn in the Issue Log daily.
- Maintain 5S standards.
- Cross-train and perform rotating job assignments as needed.
Essential Functions- Participate in the plant's safety program and immediately report injuries, near misses, unsafe conditions, or hazards to leadership.
- Participate in High Performance Teams (HPTs) to improve work processes and contribute suggestions for continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate production records, including:
- Order completions
- Quantity reports
- Daily labor reports
- Reclaim tickets
- Reject parts
- Hours worked
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Keep walkways and aisles clear of debris.
- Return tools to designated storage locations.
- Sweep and clean work areas as needed.
- Maintain daily attendance and punctuality.
- Work overtime when required to meet customer demand.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six (6) months of shipping and receiving experience preferred.
- Ability to operate mechanical vehicles/equipment.
- Ability to follow established schedules.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Language Skills- Read, interpret, and follow work instructions.
- Complete reports, work orders, and required documentation.
Mathematical Skills- Basic addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
Reasoning Ability- Define problems.
- Collect information.
- Establish facts.
- Draw valid conclusions.
Physical Requirements- Stand for extended periods.
- Walk throughout the facility.
- Sit as needed.
- Frequently lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs.).
- Reach outward and overhead.
- Climb, crawl, bend, squat, kneel, and stoop as required.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Required PPE includes, but is not limited to:- Safety glasses
- Safety shoes
- Additional PPE as required by the work area
Work Environment- Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment.
- Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, heat, vibration, and electrical hazards.
- Manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
