Tulane WaveCorps
WaveCorps members can join 100 or 300 hour service terms and support services at organizations such as UNITY for the Homeless, DePaul USA, Harry Tompson Center, Lantern Light, and Grace at the Green Light, which help homeless individuals and families find secure, stable housing. The WaveCorps members use the professional training from their academic discipline to provide a variety of services to the organizations and individuals being served and learn from the experience to prepare for their upcoming careers in public service and health care. Member Duties : WaveCorps members will serve at least one day per week at their partner site and support mental and physical health care services, housing placement, and other needs of homeless individuals and families in need. The program is designed to assist people transitioning out of homelessness and finding stable, permanent housing while addresses core needs which led to their current situation.
