Overview Position: Intermediate Level Structural Tunnel EngineerLocation: Boston or New York Metro Area. Hybrid: minimum 2 days in an office (New York, New Jersey, or Boston).Responsibilities Works mostly independently with some support from experienced tunnel-structural engineers.Maintains effective communications with the engineering team and clients.Performs calculations to design excavation support and linings and shoring systems.Prepares design drawings and assists in specifications preparation.Prepares technical reports and presentations to present findings and recommendations.Observes and reports on construction activities and ground conditions during construction.Performs field investigation as needed by the project.Recent Projects and Roles Design and consulting for major US infrastructure projects, including new infrastructure and upgrades to existing critical infrastructure.Design of precast and cast-in-place reinforced concrete linings for tunnels and underground structures (shafts, caverns, basements, vaults).Design of interior structures (slabs, walls, duct banks) and structural connections for tunnels and underground structures.Construction phase support for major tunnel construction projects.Qualifications Master's degree in structural engineering.Professional Engineer license.5 to 10 years of working experience as structural engineer, primarily engaged in structural design activities.Eligible to work in the United States.Skilled in structural analysis and design, including expertise in SAP2000, STAAD, spColumn.Proficient in ACI‑318, AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, ASCE 7 Minimum Design Loads.Additional experience with AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code and AREMA.Willingness to perform periodic visits to construction sites (after safety training).CAD skills: AutoCAD, Civil3D, possibly MicroStation.BIM skills: Autodesk Revit or Bentley Systems equivalent preferred; experience with Bentley Systems OpenTunnel is an asset.Strong written and spoken communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); preferred skills include ArcGIS, Google Earth, Matlab.Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.401(k) plan and company stock purchase.Deferred compensation plan or Executive Deferral Plan (eligible).Unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) for full‑time salaried/exempt employees.Seven paid holidays and caregiver leave.Merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock eligible for certain roles.Compensation Base salary range: $85,000.00 to $125,400.00, based on location, experience, and skills.EEO Statement All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
