Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary College Lift tutors will provide targeted instructional support both in the context of after-school tutoring and in fulfillment of personalized academic success plans. Tutors will also function to facilitate logistics at their prescribed instructional sites.

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable providing academic and socio-emotional support to diverse middle school and high school learners
  • Organized and reliable with the ability to follow directions and program guidelines
  • Culturally responsive and committed to educational equity
  • Availability to work Monday through Thursday during and/or after school

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Associates degree or current enrollment in college coursework in education, math, science, or a related field
  • Background supporting first-generation, low-income, or English learner students

Essential Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities, including the following and other duties as needed:

  • Facilitate tutoring with small groups of College Lift students at designated middle schools and high schools following students academic success plans.
