Tutor Doctor is looking for an experienced, professional tutor to work one-on-one with a high school senior in South San Francisco who's taking a required government class. The student is visually impaired and uses assistive tools, including her iPhone and Meta smart glasses, to read and access materials. She's capable and independent with her tools but works at a slower pace, so we need someone patient who can keep her on track, break down content clearly, and help her manage coursework and deadlines.
Sessions are once a week, in person in South San Francisco. The schedule is firm, since the family wants sessions right after school with a short break:
Monday or Wednesday at 2:30/3:00 PM, or
Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday at 3:30 PM

Requirements
- Professional teaching or tutoring experience (not just peer or volunteer tutoring)
- Experience working with students with special needs; experience with visually impaired students is a strong plus
- Experience teaching U.S. Government or Civics at the high school level
- Comfort working alongside assistive technology
- Reliable availability for one of the time slots above
- Able to travel to South San Francisco for in-person sessions
- Willing to complete a background check
