JOB SUMMARY

This position will meet with scholars to clarify and review concepts taught in class, explain processes, and help scholars solve specific problems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for managing and maintaining accurate scholar records.
  • Responsible for delivering academic support services to eligible scholars as assigned by building staff.
  • Responsible for evaluating scholars academic progress and reporting to teachers and staff to support scholars' academic growth.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or 60 college credit hours.
  • One or more years working in a school setting supporting academic needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to write and speak fluently in a world language and English.
  • Knowledge of core academic subject areas.
  • Skilled at communicating in a positive, professional manner with a variety of stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to use a computer for communication and scholar support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with scholars' best interest as a core focus.
