Job Summary
This position is with an off-campus agency. We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible college students to provide tutoring services to K-12 and college students. The ideal candidate will assist students in improving their academic performance, building confidence, and developing effective study habits in one or more of the listed subjects but not limited to math, reading, writing, and science. This is a part-time position with varying hours depending on student needs and organizational requirements. The schedule may include evenings, weekends, or school breaks. The agency's Education and Outreach program focuses on improving youth literacy through partnerships with local schools, providing reading materials, learning packets and personalized assistance. A Literacy/tutor provides personalized academic support, helping students improve skills in specific subjects, and helps students to develop better study habits. A literacy/tutor focuses specifically on improving reading, writing, and comprehension skills, often using tailored techniques like phonics for struggling readers and learners. Both roles aim to boost academic confidence.

Onsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan

Background Screening
