Organizational Relationship
or Line of Authority:
Directly responsible to the Executive Director of Student Support Services and/or their designee. Jointly responsible to the appropriate Curriculum Supervisor.
Statement of Duties:
- Provide customized instruction to meet the needs of the student being tutored for reasons regarding:
- Special education
- Long-term suspension
- Approved home/hospital form
- The discretion of the Executive Director of Student Support Services
- Coordinate with faculty to provide content instruction and assessment of student work.
- Build a positive rapport with students, teachers, and families to ensure the academic success of HPS students.
- Responsible for instructional and general duties as indicated by the Curriculum Supervisors, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.
Qualifications:- Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education preferred.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required.
- Knowledge of school philosophy, organization, and curriculum.
- Understanding of the school student and their needs
- Knowledge of recommended school instructional practices.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
