TWB - Maintenance Technician (Automation) - 1st Shift, Canton, MI

Location: Canton, MI
Shift: 1st Shift (5:00am - 5:00pm, continental schedule)
Pay Range: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Position Summary

TWB Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Automation) to support our 1st shift operations. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain advanced manufacturing equipment, including mechanical systems, electrical components, and PLC-controlled machinery.

This position is ideal for a technician with strong electrical and troubleshooting experience who enjoys working hands-on with complex equipment and continuing to grow their technical skills.

Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts (5:00am - 5:00pm)
  • Continental 2-2-3-2 schedule - Alternating 36-hour and 48-hour work weeks
  • Built-in long weekends every other week

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
  • Diagnose issues with PLC-controlled equipment and interpret ladder logic
  • Perform preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Complete mechanical repairs and equipment adjustments
  • Accurately document work in the maintenance management system
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints
  • Basic computer proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical troubleshooting experience
  • PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic experience
  • HMI programming or interface experience
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience using electrical meters and diagnostic tools

Work Environment & Requirements

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • May require Lockout/Tagout, fall protection, and confined space training
  • May require CPR/First Aid certification
