Technical Lead For Twin-Scre Extrusion OperationsJoin a growing specialty materials manufacturerOur client is a well-established, innovation-driven manufacturer known for developing high-performance engineered materials for a diverse customer base. They offer a collaborative environment where engineering expertise is valued and continuous investment in technology and process improvement supports long-term growthJob DescriptionServe as the technical expert for twin-scre extrusion and compounding operations. Optimise scre designs, barrel configurations, feeder performance, throughput, and process efficiency. Lead troubleshooting of quality, equipment, process, and material-related challenges. Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Development teams to implement process improvements. Support equipment start-up, commissioning, validation, and qualification activities. Drive Lean Manufacturing, scrap reduction, OEE, and capacity improvement initiatives. Lead scale-up projects from laboratory formulation through commercial production. Oversee trials, customer sampling, product launches, and manufacturing standards development. Manage capital projects, coordinate vendors, and lead cross-functional teams. Ensure projects are completed on schedule and aligned with business objectivesThe Successful ApplicantBachelor's degree in Chemical, Plastics, Materials, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience. Strong hands-on experience supporting twin-scre extrusion and plastics compounding operations. Expertise in polymer processing, extrusion technology, and process optimisation. Experience leading technical projects and collaborating across multiple departments. Knowledge of engineered thermoplastics, masterbatch, TPE, TPV, or specialty compounds preferred. Experience with Coperion, Leistritz, Entek, KraussMaffei Berstorff, or similar extrusion equipment is highly desirable. Lean Six Sigma and ISO quality system experience preferredWhat's On OfferOpportunity to own and lead twin-scre extrusion technology within the organisation.
