We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. This role involves guiding toddlers through their early learning experiences, supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth, and ensuring a positive classroom atmosphere. Prior experience in childcare, preschool settings, or daycare environments is highly valued. The successful candidate will possess strong classroom management skills and a deep understanding of childhood development principles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment tailored to toddlers’ needs.
  • Engage children in educational activities that support social skills, language development, motor skills, and emotional regulation.
  • Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards.
  • Support children's physical needs through diapering, feeding, and comforting as necessary.
  • Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and respect among children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities and maintain an organized classroom setting.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times, including first aid procedures when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development milestones and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage young children effectively.
  • Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members.
  • Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs.
  • Reliable, patient, organized, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment for toddlers.
