This opportunity supports a large public transportation authority located in Dallas, Texas that operates bus, light rail, commuter rail, and mobility programs across a multi-city service area. The agency maintains a high volume of public-facing communications and relies heavily on strong visual design to support rider engagement, public information campaigns, service updates, and community outreach initiatives. Graphic design work within this environment includes the development of advertising materials, transit signage, brochures, digital content, service announcements, and branded collateral that must be clear, accessible, and consistent across multiple platforms.

The selected candidate will play a critical leadership role in supporting these efforts by producing high-quality visual assets, guiding creative direction, and ensuring consistency and excellence across all design deliverables while adhering to established brand standards and public sector communication requirements.

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for leading the development and execution of visual design concepts that support marketing, branding, and communications initiatives. The role focuses on producing and overseeing high-quality creative assets for print and digital platforms, including advertisements, brochures, publications, posters, and signage. The position requires advanced design expertise, the ability to manage complex projects, and the capability to provide creative direction while ensuring alignment with brand standards. Candidates must be able to work independently, mentor junior team members when needed, and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and project leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and oversee the development of visual assets for print and digital platforms including advertisements, brochures, posters, and marketing materials
  • Lead the creation of production-ready files ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with project specifications
  • Provide creative direction and ensure consistency across all design deliverables
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and leadership teams to develop and execute design strategies
  • Review and refine design work to ensure adherence to brand standards and quality expectations
  • Manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior design staff as applicable
  • Maintain organized project files, workflows, and version control for all deliverables

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in graphic design roles
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Extensive experience producing high-quality print and digital design assets
  • Demonstrated ability to lead creative projects and manage complex design workflows

SKILLS

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

AVAILABILITY

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Additional hours may be required based on project demands

COMPENSATION

  • Pay Rate: $33.00 per hour
