    Job Details:

    Pay is commensurate with experience. PLUS, an additional $2.00 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.     MUST HAVE 6 months of previous general maintenance experience with a single employer within the past 12 months or equivalent school training listed in the work history section of the application or uploaded resume.

    MUST have a valid State Driver's License.Motor Vehicle Requirement (18 years of age, valid state driver's license, and no DUI/DWI’s within the last 12 months).

    OFFICAL MVR RECORD must be checked POST-OFFER and RECEIVED by Tyson before applicant will be moved into position.

    MUST PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS TASKED BY ADMINISTRATION.

    Job Description Summary

    The Maintenance Generalistis responsible forperforming preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.This position supports production in a fresh food manufacturing environment while maintaining compliance with Tyson policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems

    Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

    Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and restore operations quickly

    Complete corrective and emergency maintenance work as assigned

    Perform equipment adjustments, part replacements, and repairs tomaintainoptimalperformance

    Follow work orders and document maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS

    Assistwith equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications

    Conduct inspections toidentifypotential equipment failures, safety hazards, or maintenance needs

    Work closely with Production and Sanitation to coordinate maintenance activities

    Support sanitation and startup processes following maintenance work

    Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition

    Comply withall OSHA, USDA, food safety, and Tyson policies and procedures

    Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, and safe work practicesat all times

    Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

    Perform other duties as assigned

    Fresh Plant Environment Expectations

    Perform maintenance in raw and fresh product processing areas

    Ensure all maintenance activities protect food safety and prevent contamination

    Work in temperature-controlled environments with exposure to moisture, cleaning chemicals, and production equipment

    Coordinate maintenance work around production schedules and sanitation windows.

    Skills and Competencies

    Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

    Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

    Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders

    Basic computer skills and ability to use CMMS systems

    Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

    Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Physical Demands and Work Requirements

    Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces

    Ability tolift upto 75 pounds with or withoutassistance

    Ability to work around moving machinery, elevated platforms, and energized equipment

    Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
