Primary Job Duties:
This role requires delivering results that contribute to our operational performance in Denver, CO, by working in a fast-paced environment with multiple work groups. The role requires a strong work ethic, a high degree of accountability, initiative, and strong relationship-building skills with internal and external colleagues. You must enjoy multi-tasking, operating independently and cross-functionally, and are agile in learning and mastering new processes. The ideal candidate will work calmly in a fast paced and high-pressure environment, be proficient with various forms of technology, and maintain a sense of humor, humility, and positivity.
This is a part- time position. The position starts at $25.23 per hour and increases to $34.32 based on years of service with SkyWest Airlines.
- Work alongside United Airlines personnel in the Station Operation Center for the Denver, CO (DEN) hub
- Support the SkyWest Airlines operation in DEN by communicating with SkyWest headquarters and local teams to ensure our customers receive the most reliable information and service
- Advocate for SkyWest Airlines best interests for a safe and reliable operation in DEN
- Identify any hurdles to safety and top operational performance involving gate assignments, aircraft towing, crew movement, and other ground operations
- Establish and maintain direct relationships with appropriate personnel and advocate for SkyWest’s operational performance accordingly
- Perform other tasks required for the SkyWest operation in DEN and as assigned by the Lead Supervisor Airport Operations and the Regional Manager – Airport Operations
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous airline ground operational experience
- Proficient in basic computer programs
- Multi-task using a computer while operating multiple programs and systems simultaneously
- Effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external work groups
- Effectively communicate during time-critical and stressful situations
- Remain humble while learning and continue to learn well beyond the training period
- Take extra care to ensure work is done properly and effectively
- Take initiative to adjust daily job duties based on operational needs
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with United Airlines (UA) network systems and operational tools
- Experience working at an airline hub
- Understanding of an airline hub operation control center
- Previous airline operational leadership experience
- Working knowledge of DEN airfield and ground operations
- Strong knowledge of airline performance metrics and nomenclature
- Basic understanding of crew scheduling, rest, and related regulations
