While this role is remote, regional proximity supports in-person field operations, flight testing, customer engagements, and industry events.The UAS Field Engineer serves as a critical technical link between product development and real-world mission execution. This role focuses on structured flight testing, system validation, and field deployment of Draganfly UAS platforms, while also supporting customer-facing demonstrations, training, and operational evaluations. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and Field Operations teams to identify system gaps, validate improvements, and ensure platforms are reliable, performance-driven, and mission-ready.This is a remote role that requires 30–50% travel based on program and deployment needs.Key Responsibilities Plan and execute structured flight test campaigns for UAS platforms, payloads, and software systemsDevelop test plans, test cards, and data collection methodologies aligned with engineering objectivesIdentify, document, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, reliability, and integration issues across aircraft, payloads, GCS, and communications systemsValidate fixes, updates, and new features in coordination with Product and Engineering teamsMaintain detailed test logs and deliver clear, actionable reports to inform product decisions and roadmap prioritiesSupport integration of third-party payloads, sensors, and software solutionsContribute to SOPs, training materials, and operational documentation to improve system reliability and reduce operator cognitive loadPerform hands-on field repairs and system adjustments to maintain mission readinessServe as the on-site technical authority during deployments, demonstrations, and operational evaluationsSupport and lead customer-facing demos, training events, and mission integration activitiesTranslate customer mission requirements into executable system configurations and workflowsTrain operators on system operation, mission planning, and best practicesCollaborate with strategic partners, internal engineering, and product teams to accelerate product maturityRepresent Draganfly as a trusted technical expert in high-visibility, high-pressure environmentsWho Are You Really?
