Job Duties
Virginia Tax's Business Quality Improvements (BQI) unit is seeking an analytical and organized professional to serve as the Integrated User Acceptance Testing (IUAT) Coordinator. BQI serves as the business owner of the agency's System of Record (SOR) for administering state taxes, and this role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, readiness, and successful implementation of system changes across the agency.
Position Overview
The IUAT Coordinator will work collaboratively with Technology teams and Operational business areas to plan, organize, and execute integrated user acceptance testing for all changes to Virginia Tax's SOR. These changes include system updates required to implement legislation enacted by the Virginia General Assembly as well as enhancements that improve business processes and customer service delivery.

Major Initiative - New Tax Accounting System of Record
Virginia Tax is currently implementing a new tax accounting system to replace its legacy SOR through a four-year, four-rollout project. The first rollout is scheduled for production implementation in September 2026, with full decommissioning of the legacy system following the final rollout.
Once each rollout is implemented, integrated UAT shifts from project activities to production operations. The IUAT Coordinator will lead ongoing IUAT efforts for production systems, ensuring continuous quality and readiness throughout and after the transition to the new system.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a transformative, high impact initiative that will modernize Virginia Tax's service delivery and operational capabilities.
This position is located in our Central Office in downtown Richmond, Virginia.
This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule.
The anticipated hiring salary ranges between $85,000, commensurate with experience.
