Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a
UI/UX Designer 4. This is a
hybrid/remote position based out of Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL, or Denver, CO. Candidates in the Chicago or Peoria area will need to work onsite when requested, with Peoria-based candidates expected onsite more frequently. This is a
12-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. The position may require
up to 25% travel to dealer locations within the U.S. Compensation is
up to $74/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
The UI/UX Designer 4 will partner with product, engineering, business, and design teams to create
high-quality, user-centered digital experiences and interfaces. This role will help evolve the customer experience portfolio and roadmap while designing cohesive experiences across complex applications and platforms. The designer will translate business requirements, user research, and technical constraints into effective UX solutions and design artifacts while advocating for user-centered design throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Design intuitive, consistent, and effective user experiences and interfaces for digital products and platforms.
- Partner with business analysts, product owners, stakeholders, developers, and other UX designers to translate requirements into design solutions.
- Develop UI specifications, personas, journey maps, storyboards, service-design concepts, and other UX artifacts.
- Participate in design reviews, communicate design decisions, and build consensus across product and engineering teams.
- Help define and maintain a cohesive end-to-end customer experience across applications and platforms.
- Work independently with product and engineering teams while balancing user needs, business objectives, technical constraints, timelines, and scope.
- Collaborate with internal business partners, vendors, dealers, and potentially end customers to understand and improve the overall experience.
Required Qualifications- Bachelors degree with 8+ years of professional experience OR Masters degree with 5+ years of professional experience.
- At least 3+ years of UX Design experience.
- Figma proficiency is required, with at least 1 year of hands-on Figma experience.
- Approximately 3+ years of experience with UX/UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar software.
- Strong communication skills and ability to ask insightful questions to understand business and user needs.
- Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work closely with product, engineering, business, and design teams.
- Ability to work autonomously with product and engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications- 3+ years of experience designing complex systems or applications.
- Proven experience designing solutions for complex, end-to-end digital environments.
- Experience developing personas, journey maps, storyboards, service-design concepts, and related UX artifacts.
- Experience collaborating with both front-end and back-end development teams.
