Required Related Experience

Essential Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a related Bachelor's, Master's, PhD, or Post-Doctorate degree program at UK
• Required Dashboard Experience (PowerBi or Tableau)
• Required Data analysis and visualization experience
• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive in support of UKI's mission statement
• Must demonstrate the ability to communicate technical knowledge and translate into visual tools for real-world applications.
• Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Copilot, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Required License/Registration/Certification

None

Physical Requirements

Repetitive motion related to computer use.

Shift

10 hours a week. The specific work schedule will be determined in collaboration between the student employee and supervisor.

Job Summary

Essential Functions:

The UK Innovate Fellow will report to the UK R&D Partnerships Manager for College of Engineering as a dedicated resource supporting the corporate partnership team - UK R&D Parnterships.

• Laboratory Engagement, Data Collection, and Capability Mapping
• Research Infrastructure Dashboard Development
• AI and Process Automation Development
• Research Analytics, Benchmarking, and Reporting
• Statement of Work (SOW) Automation and Process Improvement
• Industry Intelligence and Partnership Development
• Administrative Support and Professional Engagement

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in or with industry (internship, co-op, industry sponsored research or collaboration, etc.)
• Preferred Agentic AI Developer/Automation Engineer
• Preferred Programming Experience or ability (Python, PowerApp, Xcode, etc).
• Preferred general understanding of research life cycle (equipment, testing, validation, industry sponsored research/grants, statements of work, proposal development, budgeting, etc.)
