Have you balanced breaker/fuse coordination curves and wire sizing to perfection?
Can you translate a concept into a fully certified build that passes hipot and functional testing on the first go?
Your Mission
Own the design and delivery of industrial control cabinets that are robust, code-compliant, and production-ready. Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing functions to ship safe, reliable systems.
What You Will Do
Engineer industrial control panels that comply with NEC (NFPA 70) and UL 508A.
Produce complete EPLAN (or equivalent) schematics, panel layouts, and BOMs.
Select connectors, wire harnesses, branch protection (breakers, fuses), and power conversion (drives, transformers, rectifiers).
Specify and validate designs for up to 600V AC and 2000V DC.
Guide third-party panel fabricators from design transfer through acceptance.
Plan and execute high-voltage testing: hipot, insulation resistance, and functional verification.
Partner with mechanical teams on enclosure choice, thermal strategy, and integration.
Lead DFMEA contributions, identifying risks and mitigation actions.
What You Bring
BS in EE/ME (5+ years) or MS (3+ years) in a relevant field.
Fluency with EPLAN or comparable panel design tools.
Demonstrated experience delivering to NEC and UL 508A.
Practical high-voltage testing experience with rigorous safety practices.
Mastery of branch circuit protection coordination, wire sizing, and power conversion fundamentals.
Track record managing vendors through fabrication and acceptance.
Comfort with PLM (Arena, Teamcenter), Jira, and Jama.
Self-directed, able to drive projects with minimal oversight.
Bonus Points
Work in a UL 508A Recognized Panel Shop or hands-on UL listing experience.
NFPA 70E certification or arc flash study background.
Exposure to industrial automation, EV charging, energy storage, or semiconductor tools.
ETAP experience for protection coordination simulations.
You’ll be the technical steward ensuring panels move from well-structured schematics and BOMs to hardware that’s safe, thermally sound, and easy to assemble—every time.
