In this shop-based role, you’ll transform schematics and bills of material into impeccably assembled industrial electrical control panels.
A Day in This Role
Your day starts at the bench, laying out back panels and enclosures, confirming your materials, and planning the build. As you progress, you’ll move from mechanical prep to component placement, through neat, consistent wiring, and finish with essential checks that ensure every panel powers up safely and cleanly.
Your Typical Build Includes
Building and wiring industrial electrical control panels from electrical schematics, panel layouts, bills of material, and shop standards.
Mounting and wiring components such as wire duct, DIN rail, terminal blocks, breakers, fuses, power supplies, relays, PLC hardware, HMIs, VFDs, transformers, disconnects, and communication devices.
Drilling, tapping, cutting, and modifying back panels and enclosures as required.
Routing, bundling, labeling, and terminating conductors neatly and consistently.
