We have a wonderful opportunity for an Ultrasonic Testing Inspector 2 position in Newport News, VA with one of our Clients in the Ship Repair Industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Should be previously certified to perform volumetric butt corner and tee weld UT inspections in accordance with NAVSEA T9074-A-GIB-010/271
- Practical examination of the UT inspection of butt, corner and tee welds
- Examination covers the specifications, codes, and acceptance criteria used in the applicable NDT procedure
- Practical examination covers inspection performance including calibration, scanning, detection and evaluation of flaws.
- All inspectors must have documented qualifications/certification to level II as of ASNT SNT-TC-1A, 2016 edition
- Must be able to pass hair follicle drug test
HOURS:
- 1st Shift-7am-3:30pm
- 2nd Shift-3:30pm-12:00Am
- 3rd Shift- 10:00pm-6:00am
- Must be open to all shifts
PAY:
- $46/Hour based on experience; Per Diem is offered for Non-local
