Job Summary

The Ultrasonographer II is responsible for the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform dynamic ultrasound procedures at a technical level that does not require direct supervision. This position may require performing procedures in more than one modality on a rotating basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment to conduct dynamic ultrasound procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Perform ultrasound procedures in multiple modalities as needed on a rotating schedule.
• Apply knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology to obtain quality diagnostic images.
• Recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas during imaging.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of ultrasound findings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved ultrasound program.
• Minimum of two years of experience operating ultrasound equipment and performing diagnostic procedures.
• Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
• Proficient skills in operating ultrasound equipment.
• Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological tissue.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge and application of aseptic techniques.
