Start: ASAP

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Days, 8a-4:30p, Mon-Fri, call required

**Call requirements: 5-7 days of call per month

General Comments

  • Shift: 08:00-4:30 M-F

  • Call requirements: 5-7 DAYS OF CALL PER MONTH

  • Required certs: Ultrasound ARDMS; Ultrasound ARRT; NM license; eligible for ECHO license

  • REQUIRED: Ultrasound TECH SKILLS for OB, general and ECHO(optional)

  • No floating required

  • Scrubs = Any color

  • EMR = MedHost

· Performs all ultrasound procedures independently, adhering to department protocols and ensuring high-quality, diagnostic imaging results.

· Recognizes and documents pathologies during scanning for interpretation by the radiologist, following established protocols.

· Assumes responsibility for patient care, safety, and comfort during all imaging procedures.

· Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety and infection control guidelines.

· Operates ultrasound equipment safely and effectively, following departmental policies and manufacturer guidelines.

· Accurately documents imaging procedures and patient information in the electronic health record system, ensuring all associated documents are scanned into PACS for radiologist interpretation.

· Monitors and maintains an adequate supply of imaging materials and coordinates inventory replenishment as needed.

The Ultrasound Technician is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), maintains a State License as a general radiographer, and/or is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: abdominal, pelvic, (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms. Additionally is proficient at scanning small parts (thyroid, breast & scrotom) along with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis and aspirations.
