What Youll Do
- Verify physician orders and ensure procedural accuracy
- Explain procedures to patients to facilitate understanding and comfort
- Operate ultrasound equipment to perform abdominal, OB-GYN, or vascular imaging per protocol
- Assist radiologists with guided procedures in various clinical settings
- Review images for quality control prior to transmission for diagnosis
- Maintain equipment and ensure departmental workflow runs smoothly
- Adapt communication and care techniques to diverse patient populations
- Comply with safety standards, infection control, and regulatory requirements
- Stay current with laws and standards relevant to diagnostic imaging and patient safety
What You Need
Required:
- ARDMS registration in Abdominal, OB-GYN, or Cardiac ultrasound
- Vascular Technologist (RVT) Certification within 2 years of hire
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of sonography experience, including vascular and maternal-fetal medicine
- Completion of a CAHEA-approved formal training program in diagnostic medical sonography
- Strong computer and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends or holidays
Preferred:
- Maternal Fetal Medicine experience
