Required Skills:
  • Completion of a CAHEA-approved formal training program in diagnostic medical sonography.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sonographer experience, specifically in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
  • Current ARDMS certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, software, and web-based applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly explain procedures and findings.
  • Extensive knowledge of abdominal anatomy and pathology, including organs such as the liver, gallbladder, aorta, spleen, kidneys, bile ducts, and pancreas.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Advanced certifications in specialty areas such as OB-Gyn, Cardiac, or Vascular Ultrasound.
  • Experience assisting with guided radiology procedures.
  • Familiarity with radiology information systems and departmental operations.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Completion of a recognized formal sonography training program.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine or similar specialty.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in Abdominal, OB-Gyn, or Cardiac Ultrasound.
  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification within two years of hire is a plus.

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a healthcare setting with exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
  • Must adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Willing to travel and/or accept reimbursements when applicable.
