Per Diem Ultrasound Sonographer

Shifts: Variable Pay Range: $48.52 - $72.78 per hour plus a 15% differential in lieu of benefits. Hiring rate depends on education, experience, training, and applicable agreements.
About This Opportunity
This per diem role offers maximum work-life balance with no night shifts, no call rotation, and all shifts occurring between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Youll provide coverage for vacations, sick calls, and occasional staffing needs-ideal for experienced sonographers who want flexibility without sacrificing meaningful hands-on clinical work.

What Youll Do
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams using independent clinical judgment. • Complete initial assessments and share findings with interpreting physicians. • Choose and tailor exams based on patient needs and clinical history. • Optimize exams by reviewing prior imaging and medical records. • Document results, prepare preliminary reports, and maintain accurate records. • Assist with daily workflow scheduling and routine clerical duties when needed. • Ensure equipment is maintained, calibrated, and exam rooms are prepared. • Identify normal vs. abnormal findings within your scope of practice. • Support related duties based on licensure, training, and experience.
What You Bring
• Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Ultrasound Sonography required. Bachelors degree in Ultrasound Technology preferred. • Experience: 1 year of diagnostic ultrasound experience in a hospital setting preferred. • Knowledge of PACS/RIS required. • Credentials: ARDMS registration preferred at hire. ARDMS-eligible candidates may be considered registration required within 1 year. • Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) registration required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) at hire.
