Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer), you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.
Every day, you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians.
To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision-making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support.
- Operation of Ultra Sound Equipment.
- Able to perform a complete array of Diagnostic Ultra Sound Procedures as ordered by a Physician.
- Able to select proper probe to obtain excellent results for Radiologist interpretation.
- Able to trouble shoot equipment in determining possible failure.
- Uses positioning and immobilization devices as appropriate in safe and effective manner
- Transmits digital images to the laser camera for filming. Reports equipment problems in an efficient manner.
Job Requirements
Required:
- High School Graduate
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Sonography or be CRT Licensed
- One of the following: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Breast, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Neurosonology, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Pediatric Sono
- Current BLS through American Heart Association
Preferred:
- Previous experience in Diagnostic Radiology
