Job Description

## Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer)

### Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols. The Ultrasound Technologist will produce high-quality diagnostic images, monitor patient safety throughout procedures, maintain imaging equipment, and collaborate with physicians to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. The role may also include mentoring ultrasound personnel and ensuring compliance with departmental standards.

### Requirements:

* Diploma or Certificate from an accredited Ultrasound program required
* Current ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB), or Vascular (RVT); or CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI-RVS); or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S) or ARRT-Vascular Sonography (ARRT-VS) certification required (state/facility requirements apply)
* Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from an approved provider required
* Multiple specialty certifications preferred where applicable
* Strong knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and patient care
* Excellent communication, technical, and documentation skills

### Key Responsibilities:

* Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using established imaging protocols.
* Produce high-quality ultrasound images of organs, tissues, blood vessels, and other anatomical structures for physician interpretation.
* Document, verify, and present imaging findings, measurements, and calculations accurately.
* Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain examination processes.
* Position patients appropriately and monitor patient condition throughout examinations.
* Observe for adverse reactions or complications and respond appropriately.
* Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and billing information.
* Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
* Verify operational readiness and perform routine equipment checks and maintenance.
* Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient procedures.
* Mentor and support ultrasound staff as assigned.
* Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
