Job Summary
The Ultrasound Technician will perform high‑quality abdominal and GI‑focused ultrasound exams, Fibro scans, Anorectal Manometry, and support providers with diagnostic imaging needs, and ensure a seamless patient experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a professional and patient‑centered environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform abdominal, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, and pelvic ultrasounds as ordered by GI providers.
  • Perform Fibro Scan, Anorectal Manometry testing.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and calibration standards.
  • Capture clear, high‑quality diagnostic images and prepare them for physician interpretation.
  • Review patient history and verify exam indications prior imaging.
  • Explain ultrasound procedures to patients and ensure comfort throughout the exam.
  • Document imaging findings in the EMR accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and nursing staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Maintain exam room cleanliness, supplies, and infection‑control standards.
  • Assist with scheduling and follow‑up imaging needs when required.
Qualifications
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification or equivalent experience required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with medical charting required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • E-clinical experience required
