Overview:
Outpatient Diagnostic Center
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or an approved Sonography Program by the ARRT. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None. MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technology in Radiology (R) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or ARRT(S).
