PAY RANGE: $40.411 - $48.769 Hourly
Salary is commensurate with years of experience indicated at time of application submittal. Experience not disclosed or documented at the time of application will not be considered for initial step placement.
Job Summary UNION (SEIU LOCAL 73)
The Ultrasound Technician (OB/GYN/Sonographer) performs services related to patients undergoing general and arterial ultrasound examination. Duties include operating Ultrasound equipment as well as performing all types of Ultrasound examinations on patients. Under general supervision, is responsible for performing sonographic images on anatomical portions of the human body by operating ultrasound equipment. Performs highly technical ultrasound procedures involving specialized knowledge of anatomy and pathology as it pertains to Obstetrical and Gynecology patients and participates in pregnancy terminations. Processes and critiques sonographic images, practice infection control and adhere to safety measures.
Typical Duties
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of approved training program in diagnostic ultrasound program (Required)
One (1) year of full-time work experience with varied imaging in diagnostic ultrasound (Required)
Must have met one of the following criteria: (Must provide proof at time of interview)
ARDMS certified
ARDMS certified with OBGYN Board Certification
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) trained with certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) (Must provide proof at time of interview)
Training, experience, and competent in the practice of diagnostic medical ultrasonographic exams, including Doppler and color imaging as well as thorough knowledge of anatomical structures and basic body physiology. (Required)
Experience and knowledge of Infection Control and safety Policies and be skilled in the operation of diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Examinations. (Required)

Working Conditions
Amount of activity per day: Sitting 60%, Standing 10%, Walking 30%
The employee will frequently:
Hand Coordination Activities: Gross manipulation, fine manipulation, simple grasping, and hand twisting of both hands are needed to operate the ultrasound machines. Power group of both hands is need for patient transfers.
Working Conditions: The patient will have limited exposure to radiation hazards.
