Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine all patients for ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental procedures and techniques.
- Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment, taking necessary safety precautions to protect patients and personnel from electric shock or other hazards.
- Set up, operate, clean, and make minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment.
- Ensure adequate supplies are available for use.
- Assist in the orientation and mentoring of new ultrasound personnel.
- Capture images onto PACS and transfer them to physicians' workstations.
- Answer telephones, schedule examinations, and may initiate transportation.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of office and administrative practices.
- Skill in the use of personal computers and software.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.
