Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Evening Shift | Monday–Friday | 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM | 40 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: 
Local Rate: $2,100/Week (Based on experience)
Travel Rate: $2,774/Week (Based on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for an exciting Contract opportunity in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, assist radiologists during diagnostic procedures, and ensure exceptional patient care while maintaining imaging equipment and departmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental procedures and imaging protocols.

  • Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort, safety, and accurate diagnostic imaging.

  • Operate, adjust, clean, and perform minor maintenance on ultrasound equipment.

  • Follow safety procedures to protect patients and staff during ultrasound procedures.

  • Capture, review, and transfer diagnostic images through PACS for physician interpretation.

  • Maintain adequate supplies and ensure a clean, organized ultrasound work area.

  • Assist radiologists during ultrasound procedures as needed.

  • Support the orientation and training of new ultrasound personnel.

  • Schedule examinations, coordinate patient transportation, and assist with departmental communication.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and perform related duties in support of daily department operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree required.

  • Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience required.

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification required.

  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification required.

  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures, imaging equipment, and PACS.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer applications.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, organizational, and patient care skills.

  • English proficiency (Speak, Read, and Write) required.
