Ultrasound Technologist
Location: North Bergen, NJ
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 8 Hours/Day | 40 Hours/Week | 5 Days/Week
Pay Rate:
- Local: $52–$54/Hour (Based on Experience)
- Travel: $57–$59/Hour (Based on Experience)

Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and produce high-quality imaging to assist physicians in identifying anatomical abnormalities and medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and portable ultrasound examinations.
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, and position patients appropriately.
- Obtain and evaluate high-quality diagnostic images.
- Assist physicians with biopsies, abdominal studies, and color-flow ultrasound.
- Operate, calibrate, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and archive imaging data.
- Use EPIC and other computer systems for documentation and scheduling.
- Maintain supplies and ensure equipment is properly prepared.
- Follow patient safety, infection control, and emergency procedures.
- Provide technical assistance and instruction to students and medical residents.
- Participate in scheduled weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call assignments as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Ultrasound School.
- Two years of Allied Health/College training required.
- RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment, cross-sectional anatomy, and physiology.
- Must maintain required CEU credits.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs., push/pull 50 lbs., and stand for extended periods.
