Description

Summary:

  • Day Shift: 8:30AM – 4:30PM
  • Monday – Friday
  • Location: Local candidates only

Responsibilities:

  • Perform or assist in ultrasound examinations and provide technical assistance to the Radiologist.
  • Prepare and examine all patients for ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental procedures and techniques.
  • Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment, ensuring safety precautions are taken to protect patients and personnel from electric shock or other hazards.
  • Set up, operate, clean, and make minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment.
  • Ensure adequate supplies are available for use.
  • Assist in the orientation and mentoring of new Ultrasound personnel.
  • Capture images onto PACS and transfer to physicians' workstations.
  • Answer telephones, schedule examinations, and may initiate transportation.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Required RDMS Certification.
  • Must have OB experience and be able to handle high-risk patients.
  • Will be evaluated by an MFM specialist to ensure the ability to capture needed views of the patient/fetus.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of office and administrative practices.
  • Skill in the use of personal computers and software.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.
