Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Perform or assist in ultrasound examinations and provide technical assistance to the Radiologist.
- Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound examinations following departmental procedures and techniques.
- Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment, ensuring safety precautions to protect patients and personnel.
- Set up, operate, clean, and make minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment.
- Ensure adequate supplies are available for use.
- Assist in the orientation and mentoring of new ultrasound personnel.
- Capture images onto PACS and transfer to physicians' workstations.
- Answer telephones, schedule examinations, and may initiate transportation.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in prostate sonography scans.
- Must have an active license.
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- 2 years as an Ultrasound Technologist.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of office and administrative practices.
- Skill in using personal computers and software.
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.
