Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist – Registered
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 40 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $56 - $68/hr (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist – Registered for an exciting Contract opportunity in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and procedures.

  • Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.

  • Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Upload and transfer imaging studies through PACS systems.

  • Assist radiologists and healthcare providers during ultrasound-guided procedures.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with departmental policies and imaging standards.

  • Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance of ultrasound equipment.

  • Maintain adequate supplies and an organized work environment.

  • Support the training and orientation of new ultrasound staff.

  • Assist with scheduling, patient coordination, and departmental communication as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Ultrasound Technologist License/Certification required.

  • Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience required.

  • Recent experience performing prostate sonography scans required.

  • ARRT Certification accepted.

  • Current BLS Certification required.

  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures, equipment operation, and patient care.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and diagnostic accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred.

  • Experience with PACS and EMR/EHR systems preferred.

  • Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.

  • Experience in a hospital or diagnostic imaging environment preferred.

  • Ability to troubleshoot basic ultrasound equipment issues.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
