    Description

    Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

    Location: New York, NY 10029
    Shift: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)


    Position Summary

    We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, assist radiologists, and ensure proper operation and maintenance of imaging equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent patient care in a clinical setting.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures following established protocols
    • Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment while ensuring patient and staff safety
    • Set up, clean, and perform minor adjustments on imaging equipment
    • Capture and upload diagnostic images to PACS and transfer to physician workstations
    • Ensure availability of necessary supplies for procedures
    • Assist in training and mentoring new ultrasound staff
    • Handle scheduling, answer phone calls, and assist with patient coordination when needed
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
    • Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
    • Strong knowledge of general ultrasound procedures
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
    • High attention to detail and ability to maintain patient confidentiality

    Education

    • Associate’s Degree in a related field (minimum required)

    Certifications & Licensure

    • ARDMS Certification (Ultrasound Technologist)
    • ARRT certification (preferred)

    Additional Notes

    • Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience
