Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Cortlandt Manor, NY
Assignment Duration: 16 Weeks

Schedule

  • Shift: Nights
  • Hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Schedule: 5 x 8-hour shifts per week

Compensation

  • Traveler Pay: Up to $2,200 per week

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join a leading healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, produce high-quality images, and provide exceptional patient care while working collaboratively with physicians and the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations as ordered by physicians.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients before and during ultrasound procedures.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Review, document, and maintain accurate imaging records and patient documentation.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
  • Follow established infection control, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
  • Recognize and report significant imaging findings to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any equipment issues promptly.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited one-year Ultrasound/Sonography program.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of recent Ultrasound Technologist experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Licensure & Certifications

  • One of the following certifications is required:
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – Sonography
    • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging equipment and scanning techniques.
  • Excellent patient assessment and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and imaging records.
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, move, and position patients safely.
  • Manual dexterity to operate ultrasound equipment and perform imaging procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently during overnight shifts.
