Ultrasound Technologist

Location: New York, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Schedule: 34.5–37.5 Hours Per Week | 5 Days Per Week

We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in a hospital setting. This role is responsible for operating ultrasound equipment, assisting radiologists, capturing and transferring images, and ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent education required.

  • ARRT Certification required.

  • ARDMS Certification required.

  • Current BLS Certification required.

  • Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience required.

  • Experience with diagnostic ultrasound imaging required.

  • Prostate sonography experience required.

  • VU ultrasound system experience required.

  • Experience with PACS image management.

  • Strong computer skills, including EMR systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and clinical decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

  • English fluency (reading, writing, and speaking) required.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures according to departmental protocols.

  • Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Perform ultrasound examinations while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

  • Maintain, clean, and perform minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment.

  • Monitor and maintain adequate imaging supply levels.

  • Capture, review, and transfer images to PACS and physician workstations.

  • Assist radiologists and other clinical staff as needed.

  • Schedule examinations and coordinate patient workflow.

  • Support patient transport and communication when necessary.

  • Assist with orientation and mentoring of new staff members.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with departmental procedures.

  • Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
