Unarmed Bailiff

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is now accepting applications from qualified individuals, interested in joining our team as the new Unarmed Courthouse Bailiff. This position reports to the Bailiff Supervisor and will be responsible for security functions associated with maintaining ingress/egress screening of visitors to the courthouse buildings, patrolling, emergency response, & and the prevention of criminal acts within the Courthouse and Administration Center Buildings for Monroe County.

Minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:

• Must possess one (1) year previous experience and/or training involving security, law enforcement, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED
• Must possess a valid PA driver's license
• Must be at least 21 years of age
