Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to join our team at a residential community. This position focuses on maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, and property staff.
The officer will be responsible for monitoring the property, managing building access, conducting patrols, and maintaining a visible security presence. The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and able to remain calm and professional while handling a variety of situations.
This position is well suited for officers looking for a stable post with consistent hours in a residential environment.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor building entrances and exits
  • Control access to the property by verifying residents, guests, and vendors
  • Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of the property
  • Maintain a visible security presence throughout the shift
  • Observe and report suspicious or unusual activity
  • Assist residents and guests when appropriate
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports and incident reports
  • Respond appropriately to incidents and notify management when required
  • Enforce property policies and security procedures
Qualifications
  • Previous security experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Active DC Security Officer License
  • Strong observation and communication skills
  • Ability to write clear and accurate incident reports
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and remain attentive during overnight shifts
  • Reliable and punctual

Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
