Overview:

Observes and reports on activities and incidents at an assigned client site, ensuring the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. The work requires the ability to drive and to sit for most of the workday.

Schedule:

Sunday to Thursday 0000-0800 Mobile Patrol

Pay Range: Starting from USD $19.46/Hr. Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe secure environment for students, staff and guests inside the school.
• Establish and maintain good rapport with parents, students, staff and community members.
• Prior School experience preferred.
• Ensure safety and efficient reporting:
• Monitor hallways, stairwells, toilet facilities, outside facilities, and other public and unsupervised places of the school to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff and the security of the facility.
• Assist with fire drills, crises and other emergency building evacuations and situations.
• Assist administrators and staff in crisis and emergency situations.
• Ensure a smooth traffic flow of students through the hallways, assisting students with on-time arrival to class and to assigned locations.
• Supervise and direct student movement during arrival and dismissal.
• Update security records, logs, and reports.
• Ensure all doors and gates are locked and that all alarms are engaged at designated times.
• Assist staff and emergency personnel in handling emergencies and deescalating disruptive situations that may arise on campus.
• Assist in daily operational duties as needed.

Qualifications:

 

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid NYS Security Guard License
• Must be available to work weekends
• Must have exceptional Customer Service Skills
• Must be able to verbally de-escalate situations
• Reliable transportation
• Must have a valid driver's license
