About the Role
SunSoft Online is seeking an Unclaimed Property Specialist 2 for a contract opportunity with the Arizona Department of Revenue (AZDOR). This position supports the Unclaimed Property Division by reviewing and processing ownership claims, conducting investigations, researching records, and ensuring compliance with Arizona laws and regulations.
This is a hybrid position with approximately 80% remote and 20% onsite work, based on business needs and manager direction.
Responsibilities
- Process unclaimed property claims accurately and efficiently.
- Investigate ownership claims using laws, regulations, and established procedures.
- Review legal and financial documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, court records, affidavits, and contracts.
- Conduct claimant interviews and follow-up investigations.
- Research records to locate and verify property ownership.
- Communicate professionally with claimants regarding claim requirements.
- Interpret statutes, regulations, and policies independently.
- Approve eligible claims for payment.
- Manage assigned workload while meeting quality and productivity standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with data entry.
- Experience with claim processing.
- Strong attention to detail and investigative skills.
- Ability to review and interpret legal and financial documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable learning new computer applications and technology.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
